She worked in the photographic market for 18 years, was administrative director in a company importing machinery and supplies for developing photographs and commercial director of a network of photographic retail stores. In 1998, he founded Editora Photos, publishing two bimonthly periodicals and several photographic books. He currently manages Politrade Ltda, a company that invests in the real estate market for rental purposes. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas-SP. Master in Administration from the Federal University of Bahia and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Caxias do Sul. She is currently a professor of Public Administration at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC/ESAG), and a collaborating professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA ), next to the Center Interdisciplinary Development and Social Management (CIAGS). Voluntarily works with various civil society organizations and social projects. It is part of the National Network of Researchers in Social Management and the International Society for Third-Sector Research. Among its topics of interest in research are: co-production of the public good, accountability, governance, public management, social management, socio-territorial development and private social investment. Bachelor of Laws from Unipar and Univali Universities since 2006, technician in real estate transactions since 1997 and accredited by Creci since 2008 under number 13445. She currently works in two real estate companies: at Politrade Ltda she manages and manages commercial rentals and at Desc Imobiliária she sells properties of high standard. It also acts as an investor in the same field. Between 2002 and 2007 he managed the financial, administrative and human resources areas of a holding with 7 companies in the photographic industry.

Chalana Esperança is a project of the Espaço Silvestre family, founded by four biologists in response to the fires that destroyed more than 30% of the Pantanal in 2020. The collective acted on an emergency basis from September to November and, later, began to return to the biome every two months. to develop conservation strategies in the medium and long term, through environmental education, support for the promotion and management of ecotourism and community training.
The collective had a remarkable performance, especially in the North Pantanal, due to its ability to articulate different entities in a pragmatic way, implementing strategies for the conservation of the fauna and the well-being of the communities.
In less than a year since its foundation, Chalana Esperança has mobilized more than 200,000 reais in direct and indirect collections, all of which are devoted to the conservation of the biome. All Chalana members and partners are volunteers.

Contribute to the conservation of the Pantanal through community involvement and articulation with local, regional and global entities that are truly committed to the protection of biodiversity and the well-being of traditional communities.
Goals:
1) Work for the conservation of the Pantanal, promoting the preservation of species and respecting traditional communities and the Pantanal people;
2) Conduct environmental education with local and surrounding communities on the value of Pantanal biodiversity and the current threats to the biome;
3) Develop and implement pragmatic strategies for the conservation and recovery of the Pantanal;
4) Assist in the socio-economic development of traditional communities from the generation of alternative sustainable income, promoting the coexistence between the Pantanal and biodiversity;
5) Promoting and disseminating scientific knowledge and local knowledge about the Pantanal from an ecology of knowledge perspective.
Our story: we were born in the eye of the hurricane
Chalana Esperança was born out of a crisis. It emerged to gather and boost efforts to combat the fires that devastated the Pantanal and to minimize their effects on the animals and traditional communities that lived there.

Chalana was one of the first current projects in the North Pantanal in 2020, along the Transpantaneira (MT-060), helping local communities and the North Pantanal Tourism Association (AECOPAN) that was on the front line of the fight.
Faced with the tragedy experienced and because we believe that together we are stronger, we joined forces with several entities in an attempt to protect what was still life in the midst of chaos. There were numerous fires, few people on the front line and we were concerned about the safety of volunteer firefighters, who lacked adequate equipment for fighting. It was essential to protect human life and protect the existing pockets of green area, where many of the animals that managed to escape the fire hid.
Chalana Esperança's first major action was the structuring of this local brigade, with the purchase of personal protective and fire-fighting equipment. Among the donations were a truck capable of carrying 8,000 liters of water, a motorized boat to assist in patrolling the rivers, searching and rescuing victimized fauna, eight 20-liter coastal pumps for the ground team, radios for communication and logistics. combatants, two motor pumps, more than 600 meters of hoses, among other equipment.
Our team also bought and distributed tons of food for the fauna victimized by drought and famine, setting up food islands and watering points for wild animals.
Although we do not have any veterinarian on the team and, therefore, we do not carry out wildlife rescue, we help in the active search for injured animals, in the purchase of supplies and medicines necessary for their care.
In a short time, the environmental crisis also became a humanitarian crisis and our team mobilized resources for the purchase and distribution of basic food baskets, drinking water and hygiene kits for indigenous communities. Riverside communities, which were already going through a difficult time due to the pandemic, were also contemplated with food donated by Chalana Esperança.
As the days passed, we realized that, behind the smokescreen, there were many other threats to the Pantanal, in addition to fire. Chalana Esperança then decided that even after the rains came, we would continue working for the Pantanal and for the Pantanal people.
